Crotalus cerastes : quels effets neurotoxiques ?
Les envenimations vipérines causent généralement des des lésions tissulaires locales et des effets hématologiques, notamment une thrombocytopénie et une coagulopathie.
Les effets neurotoxiques sont rares et surtout connues de Crotalus scutatus. Ce dernier possède en effet "la toxine de Mojave", une neurotoxine pré-synaptique qui bloque les transmissions nerveuses.
